Sucralose is made by attaching chlorine to sucrose which creates a product on average 600 times sweeter than table sugar, which theoretically will pass through the body without being metabolized. There are no major side effects knows as of today. Sucralose has been approved by FDA, US.
However, there are some side effects possible:
* Gastrointestinal problems like bloating, nausea and diarrhea
* Skin irritations, rashes, hives, swelling and itching
* Breathing difficulties, wheezing
* Runny nose, cough
* Palpitation, chest muscle pain, itchy eyes
* Anxiety, depression, mood swings, sudden onset of anger
Still, we believe that it is ok to have Sucralose as a alternative to sugar, since it is the best alternative to sugar known as of today. Stevia (another alternative) is better but it is not approved by FDA , US yet.
