If you are worried about you blood sugar levels then you should check it as often as possible. My father has high blood sugar levels and the doctors have advised him to get it checked at least two times a month. A sudden spike or dip in the blood sugar levels can cause serious damage to the body and it is necessary to regularly monitor the progress. In order to do so you can either visit your doctor or buy a sugar level monitor for your house. Either way you will be able to monitor your level and take any action in case of an emergency.

    Hi

If you taking only oral blood sugar lowering medications then you can check weekly once or twice in a week(fasting, after food & bed time). It’s important to check regularly when you are in illness or fever.

If you are taking multiple insulin then you should be checked regular two times to three times in a day(fasting, after meal, bed time). Maintain the chart regular & show to the doctor to conform ur condition.

Checking more often is useful to seeing how ur sugar level in the blood & helps to adjust ur medication or insulin or dietary modification or life style modification.
