Diabetes is a life long disorder, you cannot cure, you can maintain by diet , exercise & life style.
There are three ways to control diabetes such as , diet control , increasing the phsical activity & modification in the life style
Diet control : Points to keep in mind :-Instead of taking refined products- including more of whole flour , whole grains , whole cereals & dals . Include more of fresh fruits(allowed fruits like apple, guava, grapefruit, orange , sweetlime ,lemon, papaya, watermelon,jamun, black berries) & vegetables(expect potato, yam, sweet potato) , Green leafy vegetables, sprouts .Instead of having unhealthy cooking foods -use healthy cooking style like steaming , grilled , boiling , pressure cooking. Non veg- lean meat , skinless chicken , egg white, fish.
Physical activity: Not only exercise is important to maintain even you should keep you very busy around you like- instead of using lift use steps to walk & going by walk to shop or walk with dog . Do any kind of exercise like cardio or aerobics for 30 mins a day for 5 day a week.
Life style cahnges is more imporatant like avoid smoking & alcohol (beer ). But once a while & less qty is ok to drink alcohol(monthly once) .
