Does cardamom reduce sugar and diabetes?

    Yes, says the Ayurveda texts. Apparently cardamom is one of the spices that can help regulate sugar and thus control your diabetes. So do add cardamom to your dishes if you’re suffering from diabetes. It is a good way to pacify the kalpha. That’s not all. Cardamom should not just be taken orally; it should also be used in your bath water. A mixture of dry ginger and cardamom added to the water you bathe in has a positive effect in reducing blood sugar levels. So if you are diabetic, use more of cardamom. It will have a long term beneficial impact.

    1/2 - 1 tsp od cardamom taken daily with water or in food has good effects in lowering blood sugar levels.
