Diabetes and obesity both are related to each other. In obesity the body cells and tissues and in excess, thus insulin produced by the body seems to be insufficient for all these tissues. Hence when insulin becomes inadequate, carbohydrate metabolism is affected leading to diabetes.

    Hi Neha,
There is a vicious circle formed with the onset of obesity. Obesity is often associated with various metabolic diseases and there is high risk of getting diabetes especially the Type 2 diabetes is more prone in obesity. Research suggests that obesity if not controlled can result in more serious hypreinsulimia and insulin resistance leading to diabetes.

    Hi

I agree with both the discussion. Diabetes is one of causes of obesity( because of high intake of calories).

Very true. Its not only because of intake of high calorie food but its because of the side effects of the diabetic medication.
