Yes it is possible to get diabetes when you are obese. This is categorized as type 2 diabetes. But not all obese people get diabetes. If you are obese, it's time to put on your shoes and hit the gym or engage yourself in any kind of physical activity. Any cardio exercise is alright as long as you stick to your schedule. Obesity not only leads to diabetes but to a lot of other health problems as well. Check your blood sugar and have regular check-ups as per your doctor's recommendation to avoid any health issues. Keep a constant look out on your diet as well.

    Hi

Obesity and Fat Distribution : Being overweight means increased insulin resistance, that is if body fat is more than 30%, This increases the diabetes.

Obesity is probably the most important factor in the development of insulin resistance.
Excess body weight is implicated as a risk factor for many disorders including heart disease, cancer, diabetes, female infertility, prostate enlargement, uterine fibroids, gallstone and gestational diabetes etc. The location of fat deposits in the body leads to different risks associated with it. Increased abdominal fat can be estimated by waist size.
