Diabetes & hypertension

I 'm basically a hypertensive diabetic type II patient. Unable to do regular exercises. Weight is being controlled at 70 Kg.
Suggest me my daily life style to control them.

    U can maintain by following strict diet & physical activity .
    Diet tips for diabetes & hypertension:
    Do's
    1.Eat 5 times a day (include in btw healthy snack). 2.Choose low Glycemic foods . 3. Include more fresh fruits,vegetables,sprouts, whole grains , cereals.4.Adopt healthy lifestyle habits for e.g. walk to the shops instead of driving, use the stairs rather than the elevator.%. Physical activity like walking at-least for 30 mins a day (if u not have time to do split into 2 times like morning & evening).Salt intake should be 2-3 gm per day. Keep relax ur mind (listing music , go to temple for relax, do some relaxing work).Drink plenty of fluids.
    Don'ts
    Don't skip the meals(this will put in hypo).Avoid refined foods , bakery foods , high fatty foods. Avoid canned foods, salty foods like salt biscuits , salt nuts , sauce , ketchup. reduce the rice qty in lunch time & avoid rice in the dinner.

    In addition to the above mentioned important things. Its very important to check and monitor your blood sugar levels. In every 6 months go for a complete blood test that includes your lipid profile test, Kidney function test and liver function. Also Glycosylated hemoglobin test once in every 3 months. This will give a clear picture of how your body is functioning.

    Thank you. Now I made up my mind to enroll for yoga where in meditation & yoga exercises will be taught by an expert in the evening hours between 7-8 P.M. I will try to follow your suggestions also.

    hii rajendra,in addition to above answers i would suggest you to have soaked methi seeds in the morning empty stomach.For that you need to soak 1 tsp of fenugreek seeds in 1 cup of water overnight.In the morning,without having any thing,swallow the soaked fenugreek seeds with the same water in which they were soaked.This helps in reducing the sugar levels.For hypertension you may have bottle gourd or lauki juice.Some other foods that help in maintaining both sugar levels and blood pressure are-garlic,flaxseeds,lemon,cinnamon.
