# First of all it is very necessary to maintain a healthy or ideal body weight for a healthy heart..Being overweight pressurize your heart by putting extra stress and strain which makes you dull and lethargic.So for that it is very necessary to lose weight if you are overweight or obese.Try to include lots of fruits and vegetables in your die which contains fiber and fiber helps to reduce the cholesterol.Avoid more sugary foods,refined cereals,junked and fried foods.
# Avoid saturated fats.Fat in small amount is very necessary for healthy and balanced diet but it should not be a saturated fat,as these fats increases the cholesterol .So do not include full fat dairy products.You can have skimmed or low fat dairy products,Avoid more intake of meats,cakes, cookies, pastries etc.Unsaturated fats are good fat they are of 2 types (a) Mono unsaturated fats,(b) Poly unsaturated fats.Mono unsaturated fats are present in olive and rapeseed oil, nuts and avocado pears. Polyunsaturated fats are present in fish,sunflower,corn and soya oils.They also helps to reduce cholesterol.
# Avoid eating much salt. Eating too much salt leads to high blood pressure.you should take 6gm salt per day.Avoid table salt and use less in cooking as well.
# Smoking should be totally stopped.Smoking leads to many health problems like cancer,asthma,respiratory diseases and the one of the most important reason of heart attacks.
# Lastly very important is to do exercises.Exercise helps to lose weight also regular exercise improves heart function and lowers your blood pressure and blood cholesterol. taht is why you should take out at least 30 minutes for exercise.
