    Chronic hypertension is the condition which normally occurs during pregnancy.In this condition systolic and diastolic pressure increases above 140mm hg and 90mm hg.This normally occurs in 20th week of pregnancy.

    chronic hypertension is a condition when the high blood pressure remains high for a long period of time.Not necessarily during pregnancy.But yes it may occur during pregnancy,and called as PIH or pregnancy induced hypertension.It may occur at any period of life.Medication should be introduced at this stage.
