You need not always go for impact oriented exercises to bring down your cholesterol levels, as studies have shown that exercise routines that are low impact forms can also help in bringing down cholesterol levels. The best examples for these would be tai chi or yoga. Test and studies were conducted with a group of individuals who followed 12 weeks of tai chi training. Their systolic blood pressure increased by 15.6 mm Hg. The cholesterol levels in these individuals were lowered significantly by 15.2 mg per deciliter. Their high density cholesterol level came was increased by 4.7 mg per deciliter.
