Salt plays an important role in blood pressure and it needs to be monitored. Some people have a higher sensitivity to salt and this can make them a candidate for high blood pressure. Of course this is not the only reason that blood pressure is experienced and it could be due to other factors as well. But salt plays an important role and you must make sure that you control it as much as possible. Reducing the salt content in your food will go a long way in staving blood pressure. Blood high blood pressure could also be due to stress and this is something that only you can control.

Ambika is right, Rock salt or any salt are plays an important role in blood pressure. NOt only salt increase pressure, salt rich foods like pickles, packed foods, salty nuts, salty biscuits are also increases the blood pressure. Many studies also shown that salt is very bad for heart, kidney & over all health. Thus reduce the salt & salty foods intake.
