Well, firstly you have to stop being tensed all the time. That in itself should be enough to take away half the problems. If you are a heavy meat eater then I suggest that you control the amount of meat that you are consuming. Red meat such as mutton and beef are extremely high in cholesterol and these cause abnormal increase in your blood pressure. Obesity can also cause blood pressure and if you are overweight, you have to start dieting and exercising. Basically, you need to cal down and stop being tense for everything. Stress is one of the causes of blood pressure.

Some tips to maintain high blood pressure are as follows-

You can start by limiting the portion size of your meals and snacks, and cut way back on high calorie foods. If you eat as many calories as you burn each day, you’ll maintain your weight. It may take a little while to get used to the new flavors, but you may find that food tastes better when you use less salt.Fast food can contain a lot of sodium, so if you eat fast food choose items that are lower in salt and sodium. Reducing your salt intake will help to prevent high blood pressure.
