    Foods that are lower the levels of cholesterol in the body are many in number and recent studies have shown that this number is likely to increase. The top foods that lower cholesterol are listed below:
    Oats-Oats are high in fiber and they help in lowering the cholesterol levels of the body. Oats are considered to be a super food and they can be consumed on a daily basis without any problems. They are extremely healthy and quite tasty as well. :)
    Fatty Fish And Olive Oil- Salmon, anchovies, and sardines are helpful in lowering cholesterol levels and they can be cooked with olive oil which has the same properties.

    hello pallavi, i want to reduce my cholesterol level and i am using olive oil, and taking low fat or low cholesterol food but my cholesterol is not reducing and i want some medicine name to lower the cholesterol level please provide the name if you know that. Thanks :)

    Hi Steve

    Really i don't tablet name for cholesterol bUt some healthy tips which helps to reduces the cholesterol i can give suggest u . The following tips are more effective for lowering the cholesterol.

    * Regular in take of methi seeds & methi leaves in your diet this will help you to reduces deposits of fat in your body & lowers the cholesterol and helps to reduces weight also. Take Soaked methi water with methi daily in the morning.

    * Eat flax seeds daily in the morning or have it with any foods. This is more effective for lowering the cholesterol.

    *Do any cardio exercise, such as walking, jogging, skipping, swimming, cycling for 45-60mins in day, may be the most effective way to increase HDL levels & helps to reduce the cholesterol.

    * Eat raw garlic or crushed garlic with milk or buttermilk daily in the morning - This will help you to reduce the cholesterol in the blood.

    * Amla is rich in vitamin C -this will help to reduce the bad cholesterol.

    * Increase more fibers foods like vegetables , green leafy vegetables , fruits , whole grains , cereals , dhal , pluses.

    *Choose vegetable cooking oil use only 400-500ml per month for a person. Best cooking oil is olive oil, sunflower oil , rice bran oil, corn oil, etc.

    *Avoid fatty foods , oily foods ,refined foods , empty calories.

    hello pallavi, thanks for the tips dear. I will try these but i want to lower my cholesterol level quickly thats why i m asking for medicine. And i dont think that medicine have side effects. I read many articles on medicine for lowering cholesterol even i found lipitor drug while searching on the net and now i am going to discuss about the lipitor drug with my doctor but only after trying the tips you give. One more thing i want to know are they take more time to lower the cholesterol. Thanks :-)
